Serve Day

Serve Day is a mobilization of the people of Allison Park Church to reach the people of their communities. Teams of people will participate in strategic projects throughout the region that are intentionally designed to serve people on a personal level and show the love of Jesus.

HAMPTON


Saturday, July 12th

  • 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

    Join us in packaging 150,000 meals with Meals of Hope! All meals packaged this weekend will stay local and go to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Kids ages 5 and up and welcome to participate.

  • 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

    Serve at Light of Life’s new donation center to sort items, clean/repair furniture, do outside community clean-up, sort food pantry, and more!

  • 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

    Serve a maternity care home in Pittsburgh for pregnant women. Opportunities to serve the home, residents, and store.

  • 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

    Assemble and pray over 100-150 'Love Boxes' for young women considering abortion.

  • 9a.m. - 12 p.m.

    Sort and organize donations, clean, and prep for a back-to-school event for foster and adoptive families in Pittsburgh.

    Serve a Treasured Kids family by doing much needed home improvement and landscaping at their home.

  • 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

    Cook freezer meals for victims of human trafficking.

    Serve at RePurposed thrift store supporting anti-trafficking initiatives.

    Host an "American-style" cookout event for local Pittsburgh refugee and resettlement families, including Revival Church International attendees.

BUTLER


Tuesday, July 8th & 22nd

  • 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

    Help prepare our space for food bank distribution by unloading pallets and setting up tables for 300 guests.

    Open to adults, teens, and children with a parent.

Wednesday, July 9th & 24th

  • 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

    Serve over 300 individuals by assisting shoppers, reloading tables, pushing carts, helping load vehicles, and praying with guests.

    Open to adults, teens, and children with a parent.

  • 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

    Pack fresh produce for delivery to over 100 local households.

Thursday, July 10th & 24th

  • 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

    Deliver food across Butler via U-Haul trucks. Volunteers carry and deliver 20 pound bags of groceries.

    Pack grocery supplies for over 200 households.

    Pack 300 gift bags with household items for elderly neighbors.

    Deliver gift bags to elderly individuals, possibly navigating stairs.

Wednesday, July 16th

  • Bake and drop off homemade desserts for a Community Dinner before Wednesday, July 16th.

    All ages welcome (kids with parent). Supplies provided.

    Serve a take-out meal to 200–300 people at St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church.

NORTH SIDE

 

Saturday, July 12th

  • 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

    Partner with Saturday Supper to serve the homeless in the North Side.

    Includes transporting clothing, setting up, and serving lunch.

    Assemble backpacks with personal care items for Pittsburgh homeless outreach.

    Packages will be donated to Saturday Supper.
