I would love to help you find a women’s small group that you can connect with!

1) What should someone expect?

At our Women’s Group NIte, we begin by gathering in a large group in the sanctuary and watching about a half hour of teaching by video. After the teaching time, we break into small groups for discussion and prayer.

2) What do you talk about?

While we do have specific questions that relate to the video, our main focus is relationship. We try to encourage open dialogue about how the truths we just learned apply to our personal lives.

3) What makes Women’s Nite unique?

Women are naturally relationship oriented and value that connectedness. Since our groups are exclusively women, there is more freedom to openly express thoughts and feelings in a safe environment.

Join me this Wednesday Night at Men’s Nite!

1) What should someone expect?

Men’s Nite is a fun, laid back environment, where you will find men actively seeking Jesus Christ and His purpose and power in their lives. Each night includes coffee, soft drinks and snacks. Some nights include hot wings, guest speakers, nachos & cheese or acoustic worship.

2) What do you talk about?

Each night focuses on a particular passage or topic from the Bible with a brief teaching from God’s Word in a large group format followed by small group opportunities to connect and discuss with others. You’ll find men who are willing to lift you up, inspire and support you in your daily walk with God.

3) What makes Men’s Nite unique?

Men’s Group Nite helps men grow to be leaders in every area of life – leaders in their home, leaders in the marketplace and leaders in the church.. You’ll find men who are growing personally, spiritually, and relationally as they learn how to become the man they were created to be.

Looking forward to seeing you!

1) What should someone expect?

Couples Nite provides a welcoming environment to invest in your two most vital relationships.... with your spouse and with God. You will have the opportunity, along with other couples, to enrich and strengthen healthy relationships as well as repair and restore needy ones. Couples Nite is a safe place to grow with God in community.

2) What do you talk about?

Each time we meet, we will study a principle of the Bible, which will occur in both a larger group teaching time along with a smaller discussion time in your small group. Your small group provides an environment to allow a couple to experience both healing and enrichment through discussion and application of God's Word to your lives... both individually and as a couple.

3) What makes Couple’s Nite unique?

Couples Nite is the only venue in which you and your spouse can choose to participate together. Seeing your most important relationship through God's plan and design can provide proper context in order to experience the positive impacts for you and your family for years to come.

Who men & women, young & old, with a passion for worship

Hope to See You There!

1) What should someone expect?

Each week we usually start off with a time of worship, do some vocal warm-ups & then sing through a song or two. We learn worship songs as well as special music & everyone gets a CD & sheet music to practice with at home. After a brief rehearsal, we break into small groups to study God’s Word & pray together.

2) What do you talk about?

During rehearsal we go over harmonies & talk about basic singing techniques. During group time, we read a few verses of the Bible & then discuss them together. The questions & topics we cover are always relevant & useful in living for God every day.

3) What makes Choir unique?

Choir has a music & worship emphasis but we are much more than a singing group. We are a bunch of good friends who have been called to come together to serve God with our gifts & time. We believe there is something greater in store for every individual who desires to live a life of purpose & significance for Jesus.

We’ll be waiting for you!

1) What should someone expect?

Each night consists of a short worship time and then someone will give a personal testimony, sharing their “experience, strength, and hope" -- what they were like, what happened in their life and what they're like now. Then one of our leaders will teach on one of the Biblically based 12 steps from the Celebrate Recovery Curriculum. This first part of the meeting occurs in a large group format.

2) What do you talk about?

During the second half of the night, we break up into gender specific discussion groups in different rooms. There is no pressure on the individual to speak during this part of the meeting. We have separate groups for drug and or alcohol addiction, women dealing with codependency issues, parents of children (any age) with addictions and we have a group for men with anger issues.

3) What makes Celebrate Recovery unique?

We see miracles as lives of individuals and families are transformed by the working of this Christ-centered Biblically based 12 step program. I want to encourage you to come to our Celebrate Recovery meeting this Wednesday. I don't know what specific needs you might have, but feel free to contact us if you would like more information or have any questions.

Our team can’t wait to meet you!

1) What should someone expect?

There is a separate ministry for 6th -8th Graders (who meet in the chapel at APC) and 9th-12th graders (who meet at the 2Twenty Building). At each location, teenagers experience a weekly live worship band, small group discussions, a challenging faith-based message, and more.

2) What do you talk about?

We tackle issues that are relevant to students by providing answers from a biblical perspective. The small group setting is discussion-based, while a message is presented in the large group format.

3) What makes 2Twenty unique?

Our goal is to reach as many teenagers as possible in the north hills of Pittsburgh. We do everything with an age-specific focus to ensure that our ministry is relevant. Teenagers experience a warm, welcoming and encouraging environment to help them overcome the obstacles they face on a daily basis in their world.

CrossTown

You’re children are always welcome at CrossTown!

1) What should someone expect?

Nursery (0-36 months): kids can play with one another and watch videos. Rainbows (3-5 years old): kids memorize Bible verses, learn Bible stories, and do crafts. Crosstown Kidz (K-5th grade): kids meet in the gym and break up into age and gender specific groups for Bible lessons, Scripture memorization and group activities.

2) What do you talk about?

We have a lot of fun on Wednesday nights, but the most important part of what we do happens once the kids go home. Every child gets an assignment book full of Bible readings and memory verses for the entire year. Our adult small group leaders challenge the kids to complete the assignments and students who finish their studies have the opportunity to earn rewards.

3) What makes CrossTown unique?

We have a monthly topic relevant to kids and each week we highlight a Bible story that illustrates the topic. Topics include obedience, love, faith, and trust. Our goal is to help kids establish a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. When kids develop patterns of daily prayer, Bible reading, and scripture memorization at a young age, these habits become part of their daily lifestyle as adults.

Group Events are an easy way to connect with other men & women who face the same day-to-day questions as you. In a small group, you can talk about life in a way that you can't anywhere else among friends who are a lot like you. Ask questions about God, work, relationships, parenting, sex... and get answers from the Bible.

Group Events are great for men & women of every age or spiritual background, whether they're just beginning to learn about God or are well on their way to pursuing full devotion to Christ. You'll meet other believers who have similar interests and goals. These nights are perfect to get to know a few friends and an opportunity to learn about God's Word. Group Nite is open to all men & women and typically last about 90 minutes.

The Men's & Women's Ministries of APC are great places to meet some friends, study the Bible, have fun and grow closer to God together. Our Group Events are the easiest way to get involved with either of these dynamic ministries.
