Allison Park Church started over 40 years ago as a prayer meeting, and we like to think that in some ways, that prayer meeting has continued and expanded to release the love of God all across the North Hills, the city of Pittsburgh and the four corners of the earth.
Most recently, APC has launched into 24/7 Prayer - constant night and day prayer at our local church campus. APC is not unique in this endeavor, there are actually hundreds of spots all around the globe that are participating in this world wide prayer movement.
Since Sept. 1, 2006 we have attempted to have at least one person physically present and praying in our Prayer Chapel every hour of every day - 24/7/365. This ministry is made possible primarily through the prayers and ministry of volunteers who commit one hour a week on a rotating schedule to pray for the vision and mission of our local church.
Our heart is to raise up prayer warriors who lift their voices in worship and prayer, asking God to expand His Kingdom in the lives of people all across the earth. Our goal is to create the culture Jesus talked about - a church that is persistence in prayer (Luke 11:5-13, 18:1-8). We've done our best to create prayer guides and other tools to make this ministry as simple as possible.
